Unfortunately most classes do not gain access to Hardmode Redemption armor until you reach the Abandoned Lab.
It is highly advised that you battle the Seed of Infection if you haven't already, as it will open up a plethora of bosses that you would otherwise be unable to fight.
You will want to defeat the Infected Eye before attempting the Mechanical bosses provided that you've already started the Infection storyline.
